My husband and I spent one night in this hotel on our way to Kas. We arrived without a booking and requested a room for a couple, with river view. The guy at reception said he thought they had one available but then the owner appeared and said no, it was a family room sleeping four, and would cost double the price of a normal double room. We went to have a look at the one bedroom (no view), complimented the owner on the room but said thanks but no thanks, we will continue our search for a one bedroom with river view. Hereupon he offered us the family room at a marginally higher price that the one we viewed.
So we stayed in room 208, I think it is the only one with direct view on the river. On entry you walk into a room with two single beds, side tables and a fridge and tea tray and kettle. The fridge has a large notice on it informing guest that should management find any of your food or drinks stored inthe fridge, it will be removed! Very sparsely decorated. Lovely river views from the two windows. Two doors lead from this room, one to the balcony and one to the main bedroom, thus ideal for a family with kids. Both the main bedroom and kids bedroom open via doors to the balcony. There are two chairs and a table on the balcony and you have a stunning view from here onto the pool, restaurant and above all beautiful river views (see my photos). The main bedroom is spacious and has wall mounted TV, a dressing table and a large bathroom with a shower as well as a reasonable size wardrobe. All in all lots of space in "suite" 208 but everything is very basic and old (tired). However, the space and views makes this excellent value for a no-fuss family with basic needs for a lovely holiday.
The pool and loungers looked very inviting and pretty but we did not stay long enough to make use of it. The communial terrace on same level as our room also offered lovely sea views, enjoyed by some guests at sunset.
We enjoyed the breakfast, a reasonable spread by Turkish standard, and we had an enjoyable meal at their riverside restaurant.
All in all we enjoyed our stay at this hospitable establishment for the one evening and found it good value for the money we paid, but at this stage of my life I need a bit more luxury in a smaller, more up-to-date hotel. However the location of Palmyra and views of room 208 will be hard to improve upon anywhere in Dalyan.
