Definitively the place where to stay when in Avila.
Excellent hotel in an historical building, just below the fantastic historical walls of the town.
Warm atmosphere and quality furnishing.
Very quite with a nice garden. Clean with free WiFi and parking.

We were there last November and I was a nightmare.
Restaurant service was absolutely bad ,staff seemed harassed.
Dont spend your money in this hotel.

The parador is right in the centre of the old town, minutes from the cathedral and restaurants. Its a beautiful old building with a garden just next to the town walls. Our rom was comfortable with views over the garden - I think that must have been a free upgrade.

Breakfast was good, and you could even have cooked eggs. We didn't dine in the hotel as the menu looked overpriced - there were much better options in town which offered local dishes, so I'd recommend that.

We enjoyed our large room, although the beds are beginning to become a little soft. When the hotel became aware that my wife was unwell, she was sent a beautiful pink rose. We took one dinner in the hotel which was efficiently served… the food was quite good but the service somewhat indifferent. Breakfast is excellent, plentiful and varied — some fairly quiet but irritating muzak in the bar area. Free wifi is available all over the hotel.
