Well appointed hotel in good location. Breakfast of poor standard . No bar/snacks until 8.30pm. Restaurant very expensive, ate elsewhere on second night.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic city. Great location.
Receptionist was very friendly on arrival .
The room was big and rustic with a juliette balcony with pitoresc views.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
We don't recommend the restaurant (across the street) linked to this hotel. It's expensive and the foodis not remarckable.
Stayed here for one night in the wonderful town of Avila. I have to say, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Spain. Great value, strategic location, comfortable beds and excellent service. Would definitely recommend El Rastro for anyone who is planning a visit to Avila! Also visit Meson El Rastro, a restaurant run by the hotel - lovely authentic food!
This charming little hotel is definitely a gem and one to stay in if you visit this fantastic city.
Receptionist was friendly on arrival but we did have to carry our own bags to the room. The rooms were lovely and big with a juliette balcony and were made to look quite rustic. There was no fridge, bathrobes, iron or tea/coffee facilities in the room which I would have liked. the only major downside is that the aircon wasnt working and despite telling reception, it was not fixed in the 3 nights we stayed.
There bar across the street is very good and is enjoyable when the seats are in the shade.
Breakfast was very disappointing - better to eat out in one of the many cafes around. The receptionist will open the hotel bar for you on an evening should you wish but the prices were incredibly expensive so we only done this one night.
Great hotel though. I normally stay in the Parador when I visit Avila but prefer this hotel now.
We chose Avila as our base for visiting the 3 main cities/towns in the area ie Avila, Salamanca and Segovia and it turned out to be a great decision. The hotel was better than we expected even though it didn't meet our requirements of having a refrigerator or safety deposit box. Rooms were big, it was quiet, breakfast was good and it had character. Street parking within 250 metres or so was free overnight and low cost at other times. Good restaurant too.
