We did stay for one full week at this exquisite location, as best testified by their website pictures. We stayed at the villa just above the beach, we occupied one of the 2 rooms, and although the other room was busy with another couple - friendly, we had our privacy.
We opted for a full week of the ayurvedic cure, including 2 massages per day + vegetalian diet. The massages were very professional & relaxing, although tougher than we expected. The vegetalian diet was by no means a compromise to tasteful meals.
The service managed by Vinyod is again very professional, friendly & makes you feel home. By all means, we recommend this place for relaxing and exotic holidays.

…I was looking for an ideal holidays. This place should be very close to nature, far from mass commercial tourism, and at the same time would provide most refined service, excellent food and secure environment. I thought I would never find a place like that… before I came to Karikkathi Beach House.
I’ve spent two marvelous weeks there. Alone, but never bored in full house. Yoga classes, ayurvedic massages, this unique feeling to be affectionatly and yet unintrudingly taken care of, roaring of waves, watching King Fishers on the beach in front… In the evening, having supper on the terrace lit by a candle in the darkness, you guess this black mass of huge roaring ocean in front of you, and count boat lights at the horizon. That’s India, you think – mysterious, powerful, unpredictable and full of glittering promise of love…

One can't argue with the fact that the location is superb, looking through the Palm trees onto a beautiful sandy beach. And indeed the accommodations are good, as well as the service, due mainly to Vinod's close attention.
However, given the price it does not exactly come off as paradise in Kerula. The owner has an avaricious way about him, practically demanding that you pay him in cash, demanding 50% deposit ahead of time, and . . . requesting additional money for the shrimp, served at our request, for dinner. C'mon, $500 dollars a day and you want 300 additional rupees!
Adding to the absence of paradise were the neighbors next door, from whom one got a whiff of sewage, even while eating dinner. Or the dead dog on the beach that seemed to bother no one.
Certainly we did not stay in a more beautiful setting during our month in India but for sure we experienced more genuine hospitality at a fraction of the price at many other places..

We had 3 x nights at Karikkathi at the end of our 2 week holiday to Mumbai & Kerala & it was absolutley amazing. We doubt that you will be able to find anywhere in Kerala, perhaps the whole of India, so private, so beautiful & so utterly friendly - thank you to the whole gang! Every meal we had was something to behold, some of the best we've had in India by a distance.
Drifting to sleep to the sound of breaking waves crashing against the sand is the most natural way to end an always perfect day.
The one regret is our own - only staying for three nights & not gettig enough magical massages before returning to a cold, dark & busy London. Next time we will stay for longer!!
