Being a regular road dog, I can appreciate the friendly staff and old world ambiance. The hotel was built in 1923 and has been renovated, but not recently. The rooms were clean and the location was okay. But on their website they advertised satellite TV-meiyou (pronounced may yo and means--don't have), a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant meiyou, a bar meiyou, a mini bar meiyou (plus the fridge was turned off and smelled of mildew). The beds were typical Chinese Rock Hard. They also advertise a full business center. For this they directed us down the street to a hotel that is under renovation and closed for the time being. So 3/4's of what they say they have is MEIYOU! Thank goodness they have the internet so I could warn others and grab my emails
It is survivable and clean with a decent priced--nothing special Chinese restaurant and that is about it. I cut my stay short and moved to another hotel as soon as reasonable. Okay for students and when by yourself and willing to rough it. But for any other reason I would say go elsewhere!
