An overall okay hotel. Some of the staff speak English but in general they are quite friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable but nothing great. Location is not very good and not near any great restaurants or stores.

I would like to inform the members about this wonderful hotel, it is the "East Asia Hotel,in Tianjin China It is a 3 star-rated hotel but my opinion it could have been a 4 star , with all the ammenities available to the visitor.The rates for the rooms are very reasonable compared to ther hotels in the area. The duration of my stay at the hotel was for 5 weeks, and I was made to feel at 'home' the staff are very friendly and just go out of their way to help you, The rooms are very big and really clean. There are 2 restaraunts in the hotel ,you can select western style breakfast or an asian style, while I was there i tried both, but I liked the asian style best.If you are looking for safety in a hotel then you dont have to worry, this is a very safe place to stay, and I am going back to China again in January 2006, I will not hesitate to re-book my accommodation at the East Asia Hotel,, it is a place like "a home away from home" If you decide to stay here, then you wont be dissappointed,you will be very surprised with the atmosphere of this friendly hotel.
