We stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of our two-week vacation, in a cabin that overlooked the mountains. We were very comfortable here. Our cabin had a table with chairs, a comfortable couch, a very comfortable platform bed and a very easy-to-use chemical toilet in the bathroom which included a sink and a Coleman container with a gallon of water. Towels/washcloths were provided. Close by was the main lodge which had restrooms, a shower for guests to use, and a lovely dining area where we ate all our meals. Eating here was not an in-and-out experience - service was very slow. But after a couple of meals, we came prepared ready to relax and take our time. We had read that food was pricey, and it was (hence the 4 stars instead of 5 for "value") but it was also well prepared from fresh ingredients. Nearby is the Independence Mine which made for a very interesting excursion on a day that was too foggy and rainy to do much other trekking about. Had the weather been more cooperative, this would have been perfect. As it was, we simply enjoyed a very peaceful time together in this mountain lodging without tv and with some good reading material.
