“This is it! The most luxurious accomadations we could find.”

Jeff and Rose were Super and we felt welcome immediately. Our room upstairs was the most comfortable, relaxing and peaceful place in all of Alaska. Rose is a fabulous cook and we really enjoyed the breakfast she prepared fresh for us. This place is spotless. Jeff helped us understand that we really could make it to all of our destinations on time. He left an hour before we did and even called home so Rose could relay the road conditions to us. Wonderful place and Super nice people, you really need to come here and enjoy.

Room Tip: You'll be pampered from the moment you arrive. Every room is beautiful and all have great views.

“A little spot of Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The Inn at Tern Lake near Moose Pass, AK is a perfect spot for our sewing retreat. Its four upstairs rooms sleep many and we are able to set up our sewing area in the downstairs commons area. The kitchen makes it possible to share meals. But the view of towering snow-capped mountains, lush ponds, and meandering trails make it perfect for a wedding or musical performance. And the Hettricks welcome one and all with warmth and yummy breakfasts. I highly recommend it!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful.

“Exceptionally lovely place”

I attended a wedding at the Inn at Tern Lake over Labor Day weekend. It was an exceptional venue for the occasion and great place to spend time with family and friends. Everything about the facility it top notch and well done. This was a weekend that we will long remember.

The food was excellent. Keep meaning to write and see if they share recipes.

There have even been discussion of going back for Thanksgiving or just a quiet weekend.

Thank you for a memorable visit.

Gretchen

“September Wedding - breathtaking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

After visiting many of the common locations for a wedding in Anchorage, Alaska, the Inn at Tern Lake was by far the obvious choice. With an amazing backdrop, beautiful lodge and wonderful host's, Jeff and Rose, we felt our ceremony and reception would be in good hands.

Jeff and Rose were readily available via email and phone for many of my wedding questions (nervous bride). Master Chef Rose was also very accommodating when I requested lamb to be added to the menu - which she had never cooked before!! Nevertheless, she prepared it beautifully and the traditional mint sauce was perfect.

With over 90 wedding guests, fresh snow on the surrounding mountains, a break in the clouds, we had a ceremony better than we could have ever dreamed. Many of our guests commented on the uniqueness of our wedding, the delicious food and its dramatic, beautiful location.

Thank you Rose and Jeff for sharing your home with our friends and family, we will never forget the three days we spent at the Inn on Tern Lake - Kevin and Paula.

Room Tip: While all rooms have their own view, balcony and bathroom, number 1 and number 4 are the largest wit...

“the best b and b we have ever visited”

my husband and I stayed at the Inn at Tern Lake for five nights and loved it. Jeff helped us plan our trip before we arrived and while we were there. The location is perfect for day trips on Kenai. We went fishing on the Russian River one day with Jeff and Rose's son Corey. Jeff caught a fish which Rose helped prepare for the grill. The best salmon we have ever had. Rose's breakfasts were fabulous and different every day. Our room was huge and comfortable and overlooked a mountain and lake. We can't say enough good things about our experience.
