This is a very clean, attractive, comfortable and accomodating B&B just a few minutes out of Kodiak City. There is a great deck overlooking a stream. Food is good and the owner does everything she can to accomodate you and make sure your stay is perfect. It was great to have an expert on this area there for help; and to ask questions of. I will stay there again when in Kodiak and recommend to other travelers!

I have traveled as a tourist and adventure seeker in Alaska for years. Prices don't mean you're going to get even close to a decent value there. You never know if a room will be clean, smell moldy, etc. This was well decorated and so clean....

Outstanding place and wonderful people. I've stayed at the Eider house several times and would never stay elsewhere.

Great place to stay in Kodiak. Close enough to the city of Kodiak to take advantage of what it has to offer, but far enough away to get away from it all. Eider House is situated in a wilderness location, only nine miles south of Kodiak city. The creek directly behind the house attracts wildlife such as eagles and bears.

I found my room and the common areas to be very clean. Guest rooms are nicely seperated from the common areas by hallways, creating a sense of privacy.

Robin is a friendly, but not intrusive host, with good advice on restaurants, and things to do and see on Kodiak. Her homemade breakfasts each morning were very good.

If you prefer a hostess to hover, NEVER give you your privacy and irritate you to death, than this is for you! What happened to signs, instructions and DO NOT DISTURB hangers for you door? You won't find any here! Oh by the way, if you are expected to, "Not wear your own shoes!" "Don't you think the floors should be super clean, every day?" Not whenever, or who knows when this ever luxury takes place? Plus, how about house slippers, instead of FREEZING, COLD, floors, full of dust and dirt! How bout dusting those dirty house (plastic house plants)! No, we were NOT impressed! The list is endless, but those are just a few: Oh by the way, do your own laundry and be charged 6.50 per load, but please know you are washing your OWN sheets, blankets and towels!! When you ask for something, expect to be ignored and get it when and IF you get it! Ha! Sucks to be you! Jokes on you. Only to be met with more lame excuses! More later.........can't believe those BOGUS reviews that conned us into this, "hole in the wall!" p.s. expect to be charged for your spouse or significant other! Oh, maybe we were just special! Plus, you have to listen to the owner/host drone on and on and on.........."wouldn't it be nice if someone just left buckets of money on my doorstep........... what you must be kidding, right?" Who does that? Oh and don't forget, when your host repeatedly tells you of the unhappy personal life and that they are moving or exchanging living quarters, blah, blah, blah and more blah, blah, blah.............!" All is NOT right in Rome, as they say!
