My boyfriend and I planned to stay here for a weekend, and ended up staying for A COUPLE OF WEEKS! We fell in love with the place! The views are breath taking, from the lounge and bedrooms, out to the snowy hills and the flowing rock river that borders the property. The lovely family that owns (and pets that roam) this place just adds to the already impressive environment! Robin the head cook and one that runs the roost is a great woman, lots of laughs were had with her, and boy does she make a yummy quiche :) Had a great trip with Mike fishing, and a supper down buy their river with that days catch fired up on a bonfire! Life doesn't get any better... oh wait.... it does in Eider House..... Fresh crab!!! with melted butter. Thank you to you both and your wonderful daughters Sam and Laura, that entertained us and showed us the secret spots of Kodiak Island. Miss you all, we will definitely return. To everyone else... why stay in a stale old hotel room when this beautiful, knowledgeable and hospitable family awaits your company? We will try return soon, Love Robyn
