Carolyn was extremely hospitable. She picked us up at the airport ferry, drove us downtown and returned us to the airport ferry at the end of our stay. She probably would have done more driving for us, but we decided one day to take the bus and return by taxi.
The apartment is set up great for people wanting to prepare their own meals or just have a little more room to spread out. The full kitchen including an oven was very convenient.
You are given a sheet to complete in the evening for your breakfast order the next morning - which type of muffins and juice you want, for example. Warm muffins delivered to your door at the exact time you requested. Life is pretty good!
The only complaints I would have are:
1. there were no written instructions for how to use the satellite TV. A phone call to the hostess quickly solved the simple problem. But it would be nice to have written instructions.
2. a second person using the sofabed would normally be charged $15/night. Trying to cut costs, I just slept in my sleeping bag on the sofa (the sofabed was long enough to do so comfortably). Having said that, Carolyn appeared to volunteer the sofabed for no extra charge once she realized it was two males traveling together. Having come from a Forest Service cabin with just a flat board, the unopened sofabed was fine.
I would definitely stay here again. Just note the 2-night minimum.
