This hostel is within a church and does have a daytime lockout. During the day the church runs other activites, but those activites occupy separated spaces and hostel areas are kept secure and locked. The hostel at present has an friendly, helpful manager keeping everything well organized. Parishioners sometimes donate homemade cookies. There is free coffee. Spacious, well equipped kitchen. Public bus stops one block from hostel. Women's dorm had its own half bath. The lockout is not a problem as there is plenty to do downtown during the day. The only negative is that the hostel needs new beds. The present ones are pretty tired, but we sampled several and found ones we could sleep well on. There is a chore board but the chores are easy enough and help keep the hostel clean for others. No laundry. There is a laundromat in town. The church has operated this hostel for many years and it is comfortable.
