This property is located a short distance from Juneau Airport and within walking distance of a couple of restaurants. A convenience store is located nearby, too.

I stayed here in early Sept 2011 when my Alaska Marine Highway trip was delayed a day due to bad weather. It is a bare-bones, no frills, property, and the prices reflect that. The internet connectivity was really bad, even after a couple of calls to the service provider.

Whatever this property lacks in amenities and decor is more than compensated by the helpful and friendly staff. They were quite helpful when my ferry departure was delayed, and cheerfully drove me in the hotel van to the Auke Bay ferry terminal about 15 minutes from the hotel location.

It's a pet-friendly property, which may appeal to some visitors.

This is not a fancy, tourist-class destination. But, if you want/need an inexpensive place to stay for a day or two while in Juneau, check it out.

We didn't have much choice because we were traveling with a dog, so we weren't expecting too much. In a very busy area so it is quite noisy. Rooms were warm and didn't even come with fans. Don't bother with breakfast.

I have just returned from a super holiday in Juneau and wanted to say what a great place it was. I have not met any friendlier place than I experienced here.

The Super 8 was spotless and the room was very spacious. The staff were helpful and a special thank you to Theresa who helped me plan my days each morning at breakfast...so much energy and enthusiasm you can't help but smile.

The Super 8 is ideally situated for travelling all round Juneau whether you have a car or not.

Another special thanks must go to Carol the General Manager who has arranged for my keys which I left in my room to be packaged and sent back to me in the UK.

I'd definitely stay there again.

The room - The window was WIDE open when I got there, and after I shut it and went out I returned to understand why it was wide open. HOT HOT HOT in there!! I don't know why, no heat was turned on. Everything in the room is outdated and some things just seem confusing (what is it's point? TV "stand"... weird dip in counter in main area). Terrible cleaning job in bathroom and main area. Breakfast - They ran out of coffee one day, and the juice machine was off on a couple of the days. The elevator started sounding like it was about to "give-up" and shaking while I was there. They put one of the only other customers in the room next to me!! Maybe if he wasn't sick and up and down all night I might not have noticed.. but still, why put people NEXT to each ocher when MOST of your hotel is empty!?!?!? Staff were very unhelpful when I asked about local restaurants etc. They also did not listen to my multiple requests to multiple staff members to NOT go in my room AT ALL during my visit. (I asked to come get my own towels and they continually came in my room each day and did the bed, garbage & towels)
