The shower experience was extremely disappointing, warm (never hot) to cold water at a moments notice, nothing you could do to control the temperature. This was after running the water for MINUTES just to get warm water. Restaurant and bar were both closed for private parties, which isn't such a big problem, but it would've been nice to know at check in. Altogether not a pleasant stay.

Do yourself a favor, book some place else. This place really need some TLC. The food at the restaurant was nothing to write home about either.

We have stayed here several times. Located next door to the terrific Alaska State Museum and within easy walking distance of downtown Juneau and the cruise ship docks. An added feature is their easy parking, especially for this location. While the Prospector doesn't look so great from the outside, the rooms are clean and very spacious with two queen beds, two large closets, a microwave and a refrigerator. Other usual amenities are also included. Bathrooms are on the small side. Also, be CAREFUL in the bathroom! In several of the rooms the bathroom floors are very slippery! Staff are very friendly, helpful and easy-going. The onsite restaurant, T.K. Maguires has very good food and good service. While this is not a five-star hotel, it is a clean, comfortable, well-located place to stay. We'll be back!

The only thing going for this hotel is they will take pets. Where do I start on this dump? The missing and water stained ceiling tiles, the dirty chair in the room, the musty smell throughout the hotel or the dirty bathrooms. The Wi-Fi not working pales in comparison to the others.
