I stayed here for the weekend while visiting a friend. The place is abolsutely dreadful and is not worth the price they charge. The owner is absolutely horrible as well. I have no idea how she manages the place.

To us, it was the best of two worlds. A separate motel-type room that was very inviting and breakfast in the morning that would top almost all B&Bs. Quiet, incredibly scenic, relaxing, and the owners are nice folks.

We spent three days in Homer and this was our base. It was 5 miles out of town with a beautiful view. The owners are very accomodating and granted our every wish. They packed us a great lunch for fishing. A beautiful home.

To celebrate our anniversary in 1999 we stayed one night at the Chocolate Drop Inn. The outside looked natural and a bit weather beaten, but once inside we felt immediately at home in the attractive surroundings and with our friendly hosts. Our room was attractively decorated and clean and comfortable. The hot tub was situated on a deck facing the mountains across the bay and we counted six glaciers. Our breakfast was cooked to order, and we sat at the kitchen bar and chatted with our hostess while she prepared it. We felt like family. We'd stay there again.
