Located high in the hills edging Denali, the views are beautiful. Clear night sky, evening sunsets, morning sunrises are all spectacular. Cabins are small (no TV or internet in rooms) and close together, but very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The property gives wide open vistas of mountains. Great mushing dogs onsite and informative/interactive kennel tour available. Also interesting free slide shows of owner's experiences available in evening, along with meals (not included in cabin price). Breakfast/dinner available. Place is located at end of paved road where Into the Wild trip occurred (began?). Owner has interesting stories of his Alaskan life and many trips into Denali.

My wife, daughter, and I were here for several days and enjoyed our stay very much. Jon took great pains to make sure we were well taken care of, even after our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive 'til after 11 pm (when it STILL wasn't totally dark yet!). The cabins are small but lovely, obviously built with love and care, and still seeming new. Earl's cooking at Henry's coffeeshop (on the property) was a delightful surprise, and though the location is a bit far from the Denali park entrance, this place felt much more like an Alaskan vacation than the big hotels down in town. The collection of maps and magazines upstairs at Henry's are worth a look too. All in all, during a two-week tour of Alaska, this was our favorite place to stay.

We stayed here in June on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. Yes, the room and bathroom were small, but cozy for the limited amount of time we actually spent in them. Each cabin is hand made and personally decorated. Being out on the tundra was pretty neat. Henry's was a great gathering place for breakfast and dinner, and we were able to order a bag lunch ahead for our long day on the bus in Denali (there is a guest fridge they leave it in for you in the morning). Jon's slides and the kennels are a chance to learn a little more about AK and it's history. We felt so sorry for the folks at the big hotels along the road- Earthsong was so much more personal.

While recently visiting Denali, I had occasion to stay at Earthsong Lodge nearby It was a warm and happy experience. The rustic cabin with everything needed for comfort, including a great bed..slept so well...was immaculate. The host and hostess went to special lengths to make sure we had all that we needed. The tour of sled dogs was especially enjoyable. A history of mushing that these amazing animals do was a special treat at the lodges coffee house. Leaving Earthsong was with a good feeling and when returning to this area it will be first on my list of accomodations.
