We selected this B&B based on website and referral from another B&B, which was full. Not what we expected from the description and the picture on the web (doctored I think). Polite and helpful, but not warm friendly family atmosphere, no fridge or TV in room, perilously hot shower (one accidental bump of the controls in the very narrow cubicle could easily and seriously scald), egg/sausage breakfast cooked the night before for you to microwave the next morning (smell - ugh), UHT only milk available for cereals (had to buy my own milk from local store), no yogurts (had to buy my own from store) and meagre fruit. I appreciate American B&B breakfasts aren’t a patch on European, but this place simply wasn’t worth the money when there were $100 dollar motels with advertised vacancies nearby. Very few other quests. Of all the B&Bs we stayed in this trip, this represented the least value for money.

It was an enchanting place and extremely quiet.
Lonnie was very helpful with any questions we had.
Every day we drove into the park and it was about 20 minutes or so.
Breakfast was self serve which was fine especially if you were heading into the park early. They were delidious and filling.
We would definitely come back to this lovely spot.

I think this was the most expensive B&B that we stayed in at Alaska. We stayed at 6 others and the others, although very nice, was priced better.

But the good points is the comfy beds, nice location, but the toilet was running and they would not/could not fix it until we left. It was hard for my husband to sleep since he is a handiman and could have fixed it himself if he had the tools. Other then that, I really like the feel of the home and the freedom of having the hot drinks available throughout the night. I would definitely stay there again.

This Lodge was very nice - though some guests were not as quiet as we would have liked - came in late and were just noisy. The breakfast was unique and set up to accomodate those with early morning schedules which was nice, though it wasn't as 'homey' a setting for dining as a B&B. Our room was comfortable with it's own private bath and coffee maker just outside the door - which was nice. It's only 10-15 min outside of Denali itself so it's easy to get to the attractions and food in town. For the money it was a good stay.
