This lodge sits on Lake Louise. My wife and I stayed there Sept. 2011. We drove from Fairbanks, through North Pole, AK, Delta Junction, and Glenallen. Lake Louise Lodge was a welcome rest. We both a beer and headed out onto the dock to watch the sunset: absolutely beautiful. That night, my wife saw the aurora borealis. This lodge has NO light pollution to spoil this natural wonder. The lodge itself is clean, well kept, and welcoming. The bar/breakfast area overlooks Lake Louise. Our room overlooked the lake; I want to say it was #3, but I cannot swear to that; regardless, it was more than adequate for our needs. We enjoyed our breakfast very much. Sofia, if I remember her name correctly, is the resident dog, and a real sweetheart. I have one regret: I only stayed one night, when I should have stayed longer. Lake Louise is one of those lakes that beacons me to drag a lure through it. On the drive in, a herd of caribou occupied the road: made me wish I was hunting with my .270 WSM. Of the places we stayed in Alaska, this is my favorite. If given half a chance, even a quarter of a chance, I will return and spend a week, away from crowds and the horrible fire department, if to do nothing else than to sit at the end of the dock, in a folding chair, with a beer. Lake Louise Lodge is pure relaxation.

Stayed here one night but should have stayed longer.Room great clean and cosy heaps of room.Food whilst not fine dining was tasty and plentiful.Breakfast was great.Good way to meet locals and visit a beautiful part of Alaska.Will definitely return

Amazingly I was the only person staying in the Lodge on a Monday night, but Dave, owner and proprieter was friendly and helpful. I am a photographer by hobby and everyone in the family was really helpful in looking for eagles for me. The setting is beautiful, the room very nice with an awesome view.

Our family owns a cabin on Lake Louise, and come here often for breakfast and showers. John and his family are always very welcoming and ready to assist no matter what the situation. Highly recommend for a peacefil getaway. Lodge clean and good home cooked meals!
