I originally decided not to write a review because I wanted to keep this fantastic gem of a place a secret, so it would not be booked if I ever went to Alaska again, but that's not fair to Connie, who was a generous and most wonderful host. I spent 10 days in Alaska, staying one night here, with my friend and our 4 children, all teenagers. We rented all the rooms. Aside from the beauty of Alaska itself, Glacier View stands out as the best place we stayed in during our entire trip. We felt like we were Connie's extended family, so welcoming and accomodating was she. Comfortable, roomy, clean, good place to rest, amazing breakfast and stories. Connie was very helpful in telling us about the area and recommending places to eat. Too bad this is so far from NJ. If I ever end up in Alaska again, i will definitely return.

Connies cool, her bnb is awesome and thats why I come back time after time. Great breakfast, flowers, and views. Love viewing the mountains from the bed, in The Mountains View Suite.

A must stay when visiting Girdwood Alaska : o)

We only stayed there for one nigth but it was a pity.. The place was very nice. The owner, Connie, was very nice and her breakfast was marvelous. She had breakfast with us and another couple and we had a really good time. I strongly recommend this B&B.

We went there on our first anniversary and the way Connie treated us was terrible.The directions she gave us were not clear as one of the sign boards was broken.So, we had to call her a couple of times to get proper directions.After we got in ,she was very abusive.She was using 4 letter words and said that she was pissed cuz we called her a couple of times for directions.She actually seemed like a psycho.We could not sleep the whole night as my wife was so very disturbed and scared. Also, her bathroom door was broken and she started blaming us for that. She made a terrible breakfast too as the eggs were completely burnt(and obviously she blamed us again for her bad mood!! ).On the whole it was a terrible experience and i think she is the only dark spot in the beautiful land of Alaska.
