We stayed here 3 nights and used it as a base. It was a nice scenic drive, not too long to get to from Anchorage and cheaper than many places in the city, so it was worth the drive.
We did day trips to Seward and Whittier from there and then the last day drove to Denali. The place is extremely clean, comfortable and the hosts are nice and accommodating. You are asked to remove your shoes and leave them at the door, but I have read this is not uncommon in Alaska. It helps to keep the place so clean.
Everything is spelled out for you. You share a common kitchen with another room, which is fine. It was well stocked for breakfast choices, which you make, but Carol brings a loaf of fresh great tasting and great smelling bread, fruit and eggs, jellies, butter and peanut butter out every day at 7. If you want to get going earlier you can eat the cereal, oatmeal, juice, yogurt, milk, tea and coffee.
You have a nice clean private bath with fresh towels. The large two-person sink is right outside the bathroom.
I liked the privacy you were given. The hosts were not intrusive. You had the best of both worlds. It had the privacy you get at a hotel, but it was still like being at a home.
I don't always like bed and breakfasts because I often get up and tour or leave early, which sometimes is before "breakfast." Also, sometimes I want more privacy than the place/hosts give. This was the perfect combination. I would definitely stay here again.
