We (husband and I) stayed here for one night on our way to Homer. Carriage House is not a bad choice of place to stay, it just wasn't for us. We stayed in the Carriage Room which is on the lower level of the home. It was very basic with a small tv and bathroom. The common area is right outside the room with a kitchen available to guests. Unfortunately the night we were there, there was group of people who were spending time in the common area and were a little loud which made sleeping difficult. The breakfast was the highlight, served in the upper level of the house which is lovely.

Overall we found the B&B to be clean and of a decent value but will try something different next time we are in Girdwood.

My boyfriend and I drove to Girdwood impulsively one night and had no idea where we were going to stay! We pulled right off the highway to a local icecream shop/coffee bar where I met a really sweet girl who recommended the carriage house because she knew the family and told me I would absolutely love it. I called (fairly late) and then showed up to a beautiful, almost rain forest-looking home that was sooo charming! I felt right at home as I was greeted with sincere sweetness/love and shown to my room. The inside of the home was beautiful and our room literally had the most COMFORTABLE bed I had slept on in my entire life. Our host knew everything about the town and even sent us to an awesome concert that evening. A very clean & comfortable B&B with friendly & generous hosts. The house is beautiful & the breakfast fantastic. The guest facilities downstairs were great for a longer stay. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night. Highly recommended.

Two storey home in a quiet location, set back with a creek flowing at the rear. Guests rooms downstairs with full kitchen available. Our bed cover was like an incubator so snuggly warm and the linen and bathroom all very comfortable, also had wifi. Upstairs delicious breakfast served in an amazing timber rustic large open plan room with floor to ceiling windows. The hosts were friendly with ease of conversation and helpful with tips of the area. Would love to revisit.
