This is a well-located and comfortable guest house. It has a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The kitchen was well stocked and the host family was welcoming. Because the bedroom had no windows and a great bed, we caught up on our sleep. We highly recommend this lodging.

We decided to stay here after reading Tripadvisor reviews, but something must have happened since. The two rooms plus a bath are in the basement of the owner’s home. I have a sensitive sense of smell so I tried to get past the initial odor.
A note to use an old washcloth to remove make-up was ignored as the basket containing the washcloths had several hairs in it. And there was no Kleenex.
Breakfast included four eggs we could cook as desired, 2 packages of Capri Sun, a half loaf of homemade bread, homemade rhubarb jam, milk of questionable freshness, coffee/tea/cocoa, cold cereal, one tangerine and an apple with a bad spot.
There are so many nice B&B’s in Alaska. This one just isn’t in the same class.

We stayed two different nights on our two week stay in Alaska in July 2011. The bedroom was wonderfully dark and cozy at night. In fact it was the only dark night we had while in Alaska and a real plus. The kitchen was well stocked and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the recliner for my husband and I loved the afghan to cover my feet while we watched TV. Everything was so clean and speaks of care. The fresh loaf of bread and jam were a real treat. Judy and Pat shared good places to see and eat. Would have enjoyed staying longer. We didn't need it but having a washer and dryer would also be a plus for guests.

We needed an early arrival time and Judy was very accommodating, her homemade bread and jam are outstanding too.
