My husband and I stayed at the Unisea Inn while on a vacation trip to Dutch Harbor and Unalaska. We are budget travelers and don't mind staying in basic accommodations.(Part of our time there we were camping.) We spent three nights at the Unisea, each night in a different room. On the positive side: All of the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms seemed clean enough although one of the three smelled like mildew. The showers worked fine and there was lots of hot water. On the negative side: you can't regulate the temperature in the rooms, they were very hot, which forced us to keep the windows open. If you plan to stay here be sure to bring ear plugs because the street noise and generators in the nearby fish processing plants are very loud! The carpets in all the rooms were old and looked really dirty, with many stains and cigarette burns. There are no staff in the "Inn" so you have to pick up and drop off the room key at the Grand Aleutian Hotel which is about a half mile away. If you decide to stay here try to get a room overlooking the small boat harbor, the view is good and its quieter.
