We stayed here 3 nights as part of our Island Hopping tour. We were picked up from the airport by a lovely lady who took us to town so we could do some shopping. The cottages are fully self-contained with a little kitchen.
The cottages are right on stilts on the beach. Cottage 1, 7 and 9 even have a palm tree growing through the balcony at the front (great for the picture) but other than that the cottages are very similar.
The cottages are clean (serviced daily), the bed is comfortable but be aware that there is no a/c. There is a ceiling fan but ours made so much noise that it was impossible to sleep when we left it on. We left the windows and door open during the day so that the breeze could come through and slept ok. There were hardly any mosquitos when we were there but always worth taking a few coils and repellent.
There are not many dinner options within walking distance. You have rent a scooter or car to get around. We rented a car from Rino's rentals but got ripped off with a charge of 70$/day for a Nissan Micra that was falling apart. Scooters were offered at 25$/day but as we were two we felt safer spending 20$ extra on a little car. You do not need 4WD on Aitutaki.
It would be worth having a look and ring around before you go there if you can get a better deal.
Paradise Cove is a lovely place to stay!
