“Amazingly perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We've stayed here in May 2010 and are going back in October 2012, can't wait!

The snorkeling right off the beach is amazing, the beach itself is nice and quiet, the coconuts taste awesome and the cottage is lovely with everything available we needed to make our stay comfortable. It simply won't get any better than this!

Mark is a great host and we're looking forward to catching up! :)

“Our piece of paradise”

Sorry for the late review. This is our third time at Amuri and wont be the last, this is the most amazing place and the people are just wonderful. Mark had only a few days with us before heading on his holiday, leaving Poppy to take charge. Nothing is a problem for them and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need even to keeping us in fresh fruit and thank goodness Poppy can fish!!!!!!Love the tuna. The snorkeling out the front of the cabins is one of the best spots on the island, and on low tide we take ourselves around to Samada for a swim and more relaxation. If you are looking for great food see Karlie and Shelley at Ku Kus they do the best veggie buger on the main road into town, and also Kuros Cafe have the best coffee and the cakes. Our stays have been getting longer each time with our last just over 2 weeks and could easily stay longer. Thanks again to everyone you make Aitutaki the most beautiful destination.

This was our second stay on Aitutaki and it was nothing short of magical. Amuri sands is nice a close to the main town and right on the beach. Very clean and bug free. Fully equipped making it stress free and enjoyable. Thank you once again for a pleasant stay!

“Spot on”

Amuri is deserving of its top TA status. It's on a great part of the beach, convenient to town and beautifully maintained. The room was nice, bathroom very clean and a lovely deck to enjoy the views. Excellent snorkeling right out the front of the bungalows.
The only negative is next doors rowdy rooster who loves to wake you up at 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the morning. Earplugs, or a shot gun, should solve this!
Mark is a fabulous host, who meets you at the airport and is around most of the time to dispense a wealth of local knowledge on where to eat and sightsee. You can see he takes real pride in the property.
I fear your only problem will be getting a booking - Amuri was booked pretty solid for the next 4 months when we were there! If you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms, you won't be disappointed.

“Perfect place for our family to stay”

We recently stayed at the Amuri Sands and it was perfect for our family of 5. There are two bungalows/ chalets that are separate, but attached by a shared back deck. My husband and I stayed in one unit and put our three boys in the other. It worked out great! The kids had run of the beautiful grounds and stunning beach. We felt like we were on our own personal island! The units were clean and well cared for with everything that you would want for your stay.

Mark was away on holiday, so Poppy met us at the airport and took care us during our stay. From the fragrant lei greeting at the airport to the help in arranging tours and a rental car, Poppy was amazing! And the best part? Twice she brought us a big bucket of fresh passion fruit, paw paw and mango. Soooo good!

We highly recommend the Amuri Sands and will be back soon!
