The hotel was a nightmare to find as San Jose has no street signs - NO signs, none at all! If possible get a taxi. The hotel is a nice old hotel from around the 1930s and it is clean but fairly dated, don't expect new bathrooms and swanky rooms but it did feel clean and safe. The room had a fairly dodgy electrical extension lead under the carpet to the tv and lamp setup, which did work/didn't work depending on how you jiggled with it, a minor detail though. The bed was rock hard but I had a good sleep on it (my back probably needed it). Breakfast was a buffet style setup with eggs, pancakes, toast, cereal, fruit and lovely coffee. It was a nice breakfast and the views from the ballroom where it is held, across the city are quite something.
The staff were helpful, we have no complaints.
