Positives:
Great location in a quiet, nice neighborhood with a variety of homes on a beautiful, steep hillside.
Views of the valley are awesome.
Proximity to banks, shopping, restaurants and medical facilities is outstanding with a vehicle. Hourly bus service at the bottom of the hill, which is an easy walk down, but a calorie burning hike up.
New appliances in nicely equipped kitchen / living / eating, large bathroom and shower, ample bedroom. Approximately 410 SF or 39 m2. Our stay was for 2 months.
Comparatively, this is a great deal on a monthly rental basis.
Weimaraner mascot named Mackie is very friendly once she determines you are a dog person; she is a joy to have around.

Negatives:
A/C only in upper units, ceiling fans only in lower units.
Internet connection goes out several times daily, which is normal in Costa Rica.
Low water pressure in shower, especially if you want hot water.
There is no hot water in the kitchen or bath sink.
Lack of cross ventilation (several inoperable windows) makes for a very hot and steamy kitchen / living area when cooking.
No bathroom fan or working window; no kitchen exhaust fan.
Read the fine print - more than 2 people = 50% monthly rent cost premium each.

PLUS - Gorgeous location, quiet, clean, staff helpful, free hi-speed wi-fi
MINUS - Hard to find. DON'T stay here if you don't have a car, not very accessible. Uncomfortable. Did not have promised A/C. We had requested and been promised 2 apartments/rooms with air conditioning but did not have A/C. Also, the beds were very uncomfortable. We like firm mattresses but one of our party's comments upon sitting on the mattress was "handcarved just for us!". The futons were so poorly constructed the slats sounded like they were going to crack every time you sat on them (& everyone in our group weighed less than 160 lbs), and would start to fold up if you rolled to the middle when sleeping on them. We ended up putting the futon mattress on the floor. Showers were lukewarm with very limited water pressure.

Like they say in Costa Rica Pura Vida... It was my first time in Costa Rica and i absolutely loved it. Linda Vista Apartotel made my stay even more pleasant I was very pleased with the service they made me feel at home. Everyone there was attentive and caring to my needs. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The bathroom was cleaned every day fresh towels.bar of soap, and toilet paper. The bed was made every morning. The kitchen had a refrigerator, stove, and a sink.it also had all the utensils you would have at home. The view from the room was AMAZING!! I could see most of Costa Rica I felt like i was on top of the world!!! If you're looking for a place to stay while you're in Costa Rica I totally recommend Linda Vista. You will not be disappointed trust me.

This Apartment / Hotel is the perfect getaway! Hotel Prices with a Apartment feel. Very Close to (SJO) SAN JOSE AIRPORT ~35min. The rooms come with a Full kitchen with stove, toaster, coffee machine, sink, microwave and fridge. The Kitchen cabinets and drawers packed with all the things you need. Such as pyrex containers, plates, pots & pans, spatulas, wine glasses, regular glasses, metal forks and knives, etc. truly a nice touch! The view from the windows / balcony are amazing, you can see two volcanos and all of san jose right from your room! The Hotel owners live right next door and are always willing to help out in anyway they can, they helped me book my tours to Arenal Volcano where I did the SkyTrak Canopy tour, which was absolutely AMAZING!!! They also helped me book a tour to the southern caribbean area of Costa Rica called Limon. which truly has a island feel and great surfing. also, there is a great Wi-Fi connection that the owners allow the tenants use at no charge. Bathroom and shower are very clean and spacious. with fresh towels everyday. Free phone calls locally. aahh im running out of good things to say about this place, in short i would highly recommend it and would also recommend it to any of my family members!
