We stayed here in 2007 on our way to Tortuguero National Park and this time we were going to Arenal Volcano.
It was like we were had never left - there is nothing like quite like being greeted by friendly familiary faces while travelling and as with last time José was a shining star. José once again ensured that our trip started and ended great as we used the Inn as our start and ending point of our trip. Simply put - José is a gem at the Inn - he helped plan the car rental, gave us advice on directions, etc, etc. Once again Dick, the property manager was there and entertained us with stories of Costa Rica and their three dogs (Max, Sofia and Bobbi) - very personal service. The rest of the staff (which unfortunately I didn't catch their names) were amazing as well. They set up the "private" dining room for both dinners for us and our last breakfast (it's not closed off just seats only a select number of people that's why I called it "private").
The included breakfast was great. However the Strawberry covered French Toast was UNBELIEVABLE - was it ever good and luckily for our return portion of the trip - it was also available to us so we had to have the French Toast after drooling over one person having it the initial day.
