We stayed in the Courtyard by Marriott for one night in January 2012.

The hotel is located at the east-west motorway no. 27 to and from San Jose. Although located near the motorway, we did not hear any noise coming from there. It took us about 15 min by car from San Jose city, and about 30 minutes to the Jose Santamaria International Airport. It took us about 1,5 hours to drive to Poas volcano. The car can be parked in front of the hotel in a separate and guarded parking lot.

The whole staff was very friendly.

Our room was ready already at around 10 am, what we highly appreciated. The room itself was just perfect. It was on the 1st floor and had a balcony. The room was clean and modern with all comfort we hoped to find. The bathroom was specious and also clean.

Breakfast buffet is served at the ground floor for 16 USD/person (our room rate did not include breakfast) and it was excellent. They offer a variety of warm dishes like scrambled eggs, gallo pinto, potatoes and cold stuff like toast, bagels, butter, jam, cheese etc., also small cookies and cakes.

We can highly recommend staying here.

I have stayed at this hotel like 4 or 5 times for business purposes. This hotel is conveniently close to the airport with easy access to main roads. There is a shopping center right in front of it with a variety of good restaurants, pubs, pharmacy, etc.

The breakfast buffet is always good. They maintain a coffee maker in the lobby area at all times. This place is safe and clean. Personnel is friendly and courteous. Rooms are spacious with all you need to enjoy your business trip or short stay.

However, this hotel is not by any chance a resort. Overall this hotel is a good value for the price.

Stayed here for 2 weeks on business. The hotel is located outside San Jose in a nice plaza with good restaurants. It has as all pool and bar and it is 2 miniutes from the Multiplaza mall

Our first impressions was how secure the hotel was. That is a good feeling as it was evening and we have never visited Costa Rica. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is had a good center next door with lots of restuarants and a hopping bar in it. They were very upscale. We liked the location.
