These condos/apartments are amazing! The view is overlooking the ocean and it's like you're in your own private treehouse. We stayed in the top/highest apartment which was two stories. It had a full living room, full kitchen & a bedroom on the second floor. There were two balconies with hammocks. We rented a car so we had no troubles getting there. If you don't have a car, there's an inexpensive local bus service that brings you from the main town center to the cross street you need to walk on to get there. Villa Kristina is a five minute walk from the bus stop and it's totally safe. The bus ride is no longer than 10 minutes. It's in an area where expats live. A very nice and quiet area. It's really secluded also. It's owned by a lovely woman that lives there with her dogs. She offered us breakfast which was great! She has a subscription to satellite TV. They were building a nice pool when we were there. There's even a private beach that is so nice to go to! For the price, it's worth it. I'd go back.

We (my husband, two young children, nanny and myself) love it here and are coming back again next year. The house is off the beaten path, so it is peaceful and quiet. The wildlife is alive, both the animals and plants. We've seen monkies, iguanas, sloth, many birds (large and small), many types of butterflies every day. The house is clean and tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The wireless, tv, and ac are in perfect working order - no lapses, unlike the place we stayed last year. Kristina is welcoming, kind, helpful, gentle and loyal to her property and the land around. There is a private beach about a 20 minute walk away. We usually are the only people there. We feel safe, secure yet have complete privacy. Thank you, Kristina. Your home is amazing.

Beuatifully furnished villa surrounded by the djungle with a view of the ocean. The new swimming pool is super. Kristina is a wonderful host. Almost private beach not far. Easy to find and easy to get to Manuel Antonio.

I felt compelled to review villa kristina because before I went, I found no reviews, just took a bit of a gamble. The villa is definity not for everyone, but for us it was fantastic. First of all, its more like staying at someone's house, not a hotel. It is off the beaten path, you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get there! (About 8 minutes off the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio.) So it is quiet, and you will wake up to the sounds of the birds, insects, and the monkeys. You can walk to a secluded beach, its about twenty min. hike, hilly, good cardio workout. Our apartment had its own kitchen and bath and private porch overlooking the garden and jungle. This is a very biologically rich area, and you can sit on the porch and take it in, sipping coffee in your easy chair. We observed a large group of endangered squirrel monkeys pass through while we were eating breakfast one morning! The owner, Kristina, is very friendly, but not intrusive. The website is accurate.
