“The Perfect Arrival destination”

I stayed here upon my arrival with my girlfriend on the Osa back in September 2005. It was the perfect place to arrive at after a long Journey from Ireland to USA and then on to the Connecting flight to Costa Rica.

The cabins were clean, comfortable, spacious and had beautiful views of the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Breakfasts were delicious. The traditional Costa Rican Breakfast was a great start to the day.

I would Definately return to Parrot bay in the very near Future if I have the chance.

“Cute!”

For the @100/night range, I would def recommend this hotel for Pt Jim. It's within walking distance of 'downtown', but far enough away to feel private. Each of the 'cabins' are roomy, modern and clean. Also, if you're looking for an excellent guide to Corcovado, ask for William at the bar area or email him directly at [--]. We hired him for the day, and found him invaluable.

“great choice for the Oso”

We were at a wedding party this May that took place at the Iquana Lodge. The closest rooms available were at The Parrot. It was perfect for us. We had the biggest cabina with a seperate bedroom and big sleeping loft. It had the unheard of luxury, air conditioning that worked very well. Included breakfast was served in the oper air bar overlooking the beach. Staff was friendly and attentive.

“Parrot Bay Village .... addictive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2006

Parrot Bay Village is an an experience that calls you back for more.

If you want neon signs, swim-up bars in pools, and crowds of people competing for spots in the sun ........do not go to Parrot Bay.

If you want to feel like a friend of the family, have beaches to yourself, have access to world class fishing, meals cooked to order, know the staff in a day or two, associate with the most interesting guests, then this the place.

I've recently discovered PBV and have been fortunate to have made 2 visits. My wife and I were there in 2005 for fishing, and several side trips into the rainforest, and I returned with 3 fishing friends in 2006...... both trips have only made me want to go back for more.

The weather has always been in the 80's (F) and sunny, the cabinas are immaculate and set in a tropical garden, the open-air restaurant/bar is always comfortable, and the natural surroundings can surprise you with a bonus; scarlet macaws, too many birds to mention, igaunas, & monkeys.

I'm still trying to figure out why I've brought bug spray both visits and have never used it? We've hiked the rainforest, taken a horseback trip into the mountains, walked the beach in the evening, walked back into the mangroves to look for cayman ..... and have not seen any nuisance bugs!!!

Bottom line, If you like the big chain hotels this is not for you, if you enjoy the "real deal" with top of the line service, you have to visit Parrot Bay Village.
