“Stunning view and more”

This hotel was a great find for us. The setting is gorgeous and includes a great view of the nearby cove and terraces. The small restaurant looks out on the same view and includes enough options that you may not want to leave for dinner. Eating here was one of the pleasures of our stay. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: We reserved a two bedroom suite for two couples but arrived to find that the second bedroom is only...

“Friendly, artistic boutique hotel with stunning views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

Astounding views of Manuel Antonio and Pacific Ocean, combined with friendly, helpful staff, excellent cuisine, and abundant wildlife made this a great place to end our Costa Rican holiday. This is a very small hotel and the rooms are all different; we shared the Iguana Pad with another couple and would suggest a different suite for sharing , since the second bedroom was reached through the first bedroom. Other suites had a separate entrance for each room. We would come back in a flash, though, for all the other positives.

“Perfect for what we were looking for - great staff!”

We used MM as our "launching pad" for tours, fishing, golfing and eating! We loved the small feel of the place, comfortable beds, the fact that it was quiet by 9pm or so and a made to order yummy breakfast included in the price. The staff there is A+ and really makes the difference. You are a 10 minute walk or less from a number of restaurants, and a few shops. For those of you taking a cab to the docks to go fishing it is only about a 10 minute cab ride, about $10US.
Happy Hour rocks as well at 2 for 1 from 4-6. Great way to wind up your day.
If/when I head back to Quepos I'll more than likely being staying here again.

Room Tip: Gecko suite is nice - comfortably sleeps 4.

“Beautiful”

Hotel Mango Moon was absolutely beautiful. Open balconies overlooking the jungle and the ocean. Beautiful pool under the trees, where we saw monkeys and sloths day and night. The rooms were amazing, and very clean. They were very accommodating, helping us set up a reservation for a catamaran, and making our food in time (and in to-go containers) so we could make the shuttle. You can walk down the trail through the trees to their gorgeous private beach. Tito was great, so friendly and personable. I definitely recommend this as an amazing place to stay in Manuel Antonio, and can't wait to stay there again!

“Mango Moon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed 4 nights. Staff was extremely helpful and above average for the assistance they provided, with the exception that we did not have any housekeeping service one day. Breakfasts were ok, but not as pictured on the web site.
Biggest issue was with Donna, the owner, who needs to decide if she wants to run a nightclub or a bed and breakfast. One evening was live entertainment in the restaurant area, which was loud and boisterous and went on LONG after the scheduled ending time of 8:00pm. Mostly locals in attendance it appeared, not her hotel guests.
Overall, the facility appeared a little run down. It could use some paint and sprucing up.
