The hotel room was below our expectation. The decoration was very basic. It looked like a hostel. The bad thing was that there were many ants in the bathroom at night. We did not know how it happened. Probably they did not empty the trash can and the ants were looking for food there. So, I did not sleep very well because of that. Also, there was a band singing at the bar one night and it was so noisy that we could not sleep.

I was once more in this lovely hotel, they finished the rebuilding of the house by the
pool. There are now 4 apartments with 2 bed rooms, each 2 doublebeds, 2 bathrooms,
full equipped kitchen and oversized living room. They used a lot of nice wood like teak and bamboo and other. The furnitures are a surprise. CableTV, A/C, Tel and fans give you a luxury feeling. All apartments have nice view over the pool, the realy tropical garden and oceanview.
Even the little jungle villas let you live in the middle of the tropical paradise.
The staff is more then friendly and helpful, and “Noche” the dog and “Leo” the parrot are playing with the guests..
Hundreds of plants, flowers and trees make this big tropical place unfogettable. You can watch a lot of Monkeys, Slots, Iguanas and several kinds of birds.
All over all the hotel “El Mirador del Pacifico” is quiet and clean, for me one of the best places in Costa Rica for all tourists and families.
A special word I like to say about the restaurant “Bambu Jam”. In a rsurrounding offers the chef “Luca” from France and his team an international menu with frech tuch, what you will not find elsewhere in Manuel Antonio. Every Tuesday and Friday they have live music, sometimes with international stars from all over the world. It is a must to visit “Bambu Jam” when you are in Manuel Antonio

Stay here one night in October because they are dog friendly, had a pool and jacuzzi, and beautiful wood interior. The pool and jacuzzi was closed and men were working at 6:20 am around the pool below our room spreading cement, laying stones, and working on the pool, plus you have to hike many stairs to get to the room or use a 40 yr. old pulley cart that they are using to pull the stones up the hill side. We were disappointed. We booked over the internet and the owners never informed us of the pool and jacuzzi being down. Will not stay there again. The restaurant was delicious (Bamboo Inn). Highly recommended!! Excellent breakfast and dinner. Courteous staff. Live Music on the weekend.
