I traveled to CR with a girlfriend for 12 days. When choosing our accommodations, I kept seeing Hotel Club del Mar, over and over again. The reviews were great, so we took a chance and booked our stay. I truly believe that staying here made all the difference! The staff were outstanding, the rooms and views were incredible and the location is perfect! I especially enjoyed being just outside of the main Jaco area. It was just a quick $4 cab ride to dining, groceries, etc. but really we were happy just to hang at the property. We booked all of our activities thru the hotel as well. They offer a great variety of tours and fitness classes at great prices. We will be back next year for sure!!

On our 3rd trip to this area we finally found this great place! CDM offers a great place to lay in the sun near the beautiful pool with the beach and gentle surf at your feet. What great service, food and staff that you will get to know on a first name basis. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with a small living room and a patio. I went fishing with friends that we meet while staying there and landed my first FOUR sailfish! My wife and I also enjoyed just lying around the pool and reading in the quiet atmosphere. I also enjoyed surfing at some challenging breaks at Hermosa Beach (within 5 minutes). We made reservations for two weeks next year before we left and look forward to our return visit.

This is a wonderful family hotel. The rooms have nice kitchens and there is restaurant. Clean friendly and happy place. The map is wrong, hotel is located at south end of beach.

We spent 8 nights in a condo (unit 9). It was perfect. We booked a 1 bedroom, but they gave us a 2 bedroom unit. It was clean and well maintained and HUGE. We did have a couple of problems with things, but when we called maintenance came quickly and fixed them. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer in the room.

The grounds are better than most of the Jaco hotetls, with some areas with grass, and many trees to provide shade, including around the pool.

The beach at Del Mar is the best beach in Jaco. While not the best beach in the world, it is very nice, and by the Del Mar there are far fewer stones than the opposite end (near Best Western).

The owner lives at the hotel and is very nice and makes sure the guests are looked after. I would recommend the Del Mar to anyone, but it especially good for families and more mature people. Twenty somethings might prefer to be closer to the center of town so they can hit the bars. Del Mar is more of a quiet hotel.
