This is a decent place to stay. The rooms are ok, beds a little hard and you get a little tube television. Personally the TV didn't matter to me because I was out at the pool or beach most of the time. The beach is about a 5 minute taxi ride.

The breakfast is complimentary but it mostly just consist of fruit and rice.

Downtown is about a 5 minute taxi ride and taxis are really cheap there. If you make it to downtown I recommend eating so home cook food at Black Star Line.

The property is one of very few hotels in the area. Limon and surroundings has been neglected by the Costa Rica Government and this is reflected in the attitude of the people...rather different from the rest of Costa Rica. Not friendly in general. The rooms are very basic (VERY). The surroundings are much better though. The rate includes a full cooked breakfast which is in the restaurant which overlooks the pounding surf and vegetation. This time of the year it rails almost always so think about going there this time of the year. The pool, the gardens are well kept.
However the front desk staff are young black Costa Ricans noted by their surliness and unfriendly attitude not to mention incompetent. They need major retraining. That being said, the rate of $68.00 for two people in a room is not too bad.

I love this little hotel!! Little bungalow/hut style rooms, friggin' incredible ocean/beach view, and a super hot disco up the road a little. It's not a five star hotel by any stretch, but super cool for a low key Carribean vacation spot. If you are in Costa Rica fora little adventure, this is your kind of place.

I found the rooms fairly small but clean.

The food was very good!

I love the pool.

You have to try the Thursday night buffet.
