We stayed at El Encanto for two nights, and were so happy to have found it.
Brigitte and Daniel the new owners, are successfully adding their mark to a beautiful B&B/small hotel. We stayed in a small cabin room with comfortable queen bed, night tables and lamps (not found everywhere in C.R), bathroom/shower with hot water, and a small outside sitting area with hammock and chairs. Wifi was available all through the property, but no TV or phone,which suited us perfectly :-)
The gardens are beautiful, and the small pool with loungers and chairs is clean and refreshing.
The owners and staff make every effort to ensure their guests have what they need; they even offered us the use of their laptop when ours had a temporary glitch.
We were greeted with complimentary fruit juice; breakfast of fruit, eggs, toast and coffee was served in the common lounge/dining room from 7-9 am. I was surprised that our room was made up and refreshed every day- many B&Bs do it every other day.
All in all it was a peaceful, relaxing oasis in the middle of a little beach village. Nearly heaven!!

The inn is in a relatively secluded area right accross the road from the beach. There is an off-street parking area for your car. You are within easy walking distance of the downtown restaurants and bars as well as the park. The rooms and are comfortable and they have a "retreat area" that they use for massages if you want one. There is a small swimming pool with lounge chairs that we enjoy to cool off in. The breakfast comes with your room and includes juice, coffee, assorted fruits, toast and eggs. We've stayed there twice and plan to stay there again the next time we go to Cahuita.

We stayed here throughout our stay in Cahuita and it was simply great. The bungalow is spacious, clean and well kept. The only "bad" thing is that they are not really sound proof - you can actually hear your neighbour flush their toilet, This was something a couple arriving after us were not aware so we ended up hearing a whole lot more than we needed to :)

The garden is beautiful, the staff extremely helpful and location great. There is a nice little pool in case you do not like going to the beach.

And when I said the staff is extremely helpful I really mean it; not only did they help in aranging transportation and booking activities but when I got really ill Monique told me what to do and even offered some of her own medicines. Having said that; the staff will also recommend you restaurants and tell you which places to avoid; something found out a little too late.

I would definitely stay here again!

El Encanto Inn stood out as one of the highlights of our holiday in Costa Rica. Magical place and wonderful home cooked breakfasts and fresh fruit every morning. We are hopeful to return again in future.

We also loved Cahuita and enjoyed the local resturants very much.
