I spent 2 nights there and it is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at. I felt like someone had told the entire staff I was arriving. It was Don Juan here and Don Juan there. Yes my name is Juan and the Don is the traditional use for Mr. among hispanics. No pun here. Even the lady who was mopping the floor call me by name. The rooms are quite spacious and airy. I had a great view of the entrance and coffee plantation from my room. But watch out for the mini bar, it's rigged with a sensor. If you even move something they will charge you for it. The restaurants are great but pricey. $21 for breakfast buffet. Ouch. I just went to the cafe instead and it was great. Had a cup of espresso and juice. Sat outside and took in the fresh air and enjoyed the marvelous atmosphere. Tip, buy something at the Cafe and you get free Wi-Fi, otherwise you have to pay for it in the room. it works all over the property. I used it to FaceTime back home every night. The property is gorgeous. Spanish colonial architecture. Two bars and restaurants and a very spacious hang out area on both the main and second floors. A very relaxing, don't want to leave environment. It's right next to the airport but a few minutes ride into town. Taxi drivers work for the hotel so it's cool. I had Jonathan. I commandeered him as my personal driver. Rates were reasonable. No troubles at all. I had his cell phone number so he was just a call away. And if he wasn't available he sent someone quick. He took me into town and stayed with me for a few hours. Great service. Bottom line. I didn't want to leave and I will return.
