Stayed at Casa Ciudadela for two nights at the beginning of our stay in Costa Rica. The staff was really welcoming, and even stayed late to check us in, because our flight was getting in after closing. We booked a double room with a private bathroom. Towels are not included in the price, but the room did have extra blankets and a fan. Breakfast was included, and consisted of fresh fruit, toast, and coffee. The hostel is located near the central plaza in Heredia, and there's not much you can't walk to. The Paseo de Las Flores mall is a short cab ride away ($6), and there are some lively bars there. We would definitely stay here again.
