A good location when planning visiting Volcan Poas and La Paz Waterfalls, (which we didn't because of the bad road conditions that direction and as we were driving a rented car). When you're a city lover, good location for visiting San Jose. Wonderful place, nice villa, garden and view. Private parking space.
Emilie the manager is very friendly and helpful and Freddy her friend is learning to become an exquisite cook. Great breakfasts and excellent Casado.
A real B&B formula, (beds weren't made and the bin hadn't been emptied for 3 days).

I stays at the aptly named Casa de Flores and its magical garden for a week while on business in San Jose. The manager (Emily) was delightful and arranged everything for me (taxis; trips; yoga; dinner; massages) leaving me to just enjoy the splendour of the garden and the view. I feel utterly rejuvenated!

My husband and I, along with another couple, spent a week at Casa De Flores in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. It was our first time traveling out of the USA and everything went very smoothly- thanks mostly to Emilie, our hostess. The home and the grounds were beautiful, spacious and secluded. We had a spectacular view of the city at night and saw much of Costa Rica's beauty on day trips arranged by Emilie. Freddy prepared us huge, gourmet breakfasts and he even taught us a few recipes! Emilie and Freddy were the perfect hosts, and we hated to say good by at the end of the week. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

As a freelance travel writer I obviously get about the place quite a bit but I'm always particuarly happy when I find a place such as Casa de Flores. Emilie and Freddy made me feel wonderfuly welcome from the beginning, both very friendly and polite. Whenever I needed something they were on hand but similarily when I wanted some time on my own the beautiful garden and swimming pool seemed to become my own private spa!
I left feeling refreshed and alive - emotions so often devoid in other hotels around.

I will defnitely be coming back.
