My wife and I completed our four day stay on Feb. 12, 2012. The grounds and views are beautiful. The service is ugly! First of all we did not receive the room catagory which was confirmed to us. It took 5 phone calls over two days, to get them to remove the contents of the mini fridge in our room. Showers were either cold or luke warm at best. Bathroom was smaller than one finds on a cruise ship. Restaurant did not serve what was ordered. When we asked why we were told that they often do not have a key item in the receipe so they substitute something else, but do not tell you that.

My wife was in the bar and ordered a drink at 6pm. At 6:25 it still was not delivered. She found the witer who said it was coming. She left at 6:35 and never did receive her drink.

I hjust had aa very enjoyable stay at this hotel. I highly recommend it and its services tyo anyone going to Costa Rica.

We stayed three nights at the Diria in an Oceanfront room. View was great. Across the main street in town is the other part of the hotel which has a large resort type pool with swim up palapa bar. Breakfast was included as well. The bathrooms were quite small (shower 3' x 2.5') and they could have used some feather pillows vs. the hard foam ones they had. Since you are right in town it is an easy walk to all stores & resturants.

The hotel was very accommodating and was in a perfect spot. The hotel had a very nce beach front location with high class beach setting on the property grounds. We stayed at the hotel section on the beach side at a third floor room for 5..2 adults and kids 14,12,and 9.
The hotel bar had a nice dinner for us and wasn't as expensive as the buffet on the beach,more of a romantic setting. Of all the hotels we saw this was the highest class felt like an all-inclusive with a free breakfast..

We had a flight out of Liberia at 7:00am so the only bad thing was leaving at about 4-4:30 am. Ask the front desk the night before to pack you a breakfast to go.

At night we walked immediately out the hotel if we were tired for food. The better spot was a block and a 1/2 down on the left hand side we walked up a long block and had many choices to pick for a dinner. We went to a place called Wok and Roll which was good for a combination of Asia food choices.

On our last day we took a boat tour which was o.k. It wasn't the best for families with all the booz you could drink but it could have been because we were there in non kid season.

We would definitely stay here again if we returned.
