Overall this is a very good resort. The beach is very wide and easy to walk on. And, this is the only major hotel right on the beach. We had an upper floor, ocean view room, which we would highly recommend. A part of the hotel is across the street and it seemed like it would be a little remote. There's one large, very nice bar in the restaurant area next to the beach. We had a couple of minor requests that we gave to the front desk regarding our room and they were responded to quickly, which you don't always find. The resort staff was friendly and our only comment is that they were not particularly fun. We're used to going to all-inclusives in the Dominican where the staff maybe doesn't work quite so hard, but are a lot of fun. Tamarindo isn't a real good area if you want to see a lot of wildlife but is great for a beach vacation, which is what we wanted. We would definitely go back to this resort if we were staying in the Tamarindo area again.

The Tamarindo Diria Hotel met our basic expectations. The rooms were airy, clean and well maintained. The grounds lovely although the place often felt crowded. The beach itself is gorgeous.Breakfast was very good, but the lunch and dinner menus were disappointing. A lovely place for families with children.

We spent 2 nights last week and were very surprised at how nice this place is. The grounds were pretty and the rooms large and clean and fresh. We stayed at the cheapest room they had and it was very nice. It was large, clean, and very comfortable. I'd definitely go back and stay there again.

Lovely experience. Excellent hotel, comfortable room, good service, great beach. The only disappointing experience was at the hotel restaurant. We asked for a glass of water and the manager of the restaurant did not allow the waiter to bring it to the table unless we paid for it. When we complained he was very disrespectful telling the waiter that he will pay for it. We paid for the glass of water. The food was of inferior quality
