“Amazing Experience”

We stayed at the Costa Coral for 10 days and had a great time. This is the perfect hotel to stay at if you want to relax and be immersed by the natural beauty of Costa Rica. There are many natural attractions nearby (waterfalls, rivers and of course the beach) and quite a bit to do (4 wheeling, horseback riding, fishing etc)

Rooms - The rooms are nice and fit right in with the natural feel of the area, if you have a choice try to get a pool side room with a balcony

Pool - The pool is small, but it is beautiful, it feels like you are swimming in a private natural spring. The pool is surrounded by well groomed natural flowers and trees (even a few banana trees)

Food - For the 10 days were were there we had something new almost every time we ordered and were never disappointed. The prices are reasonable and from what I could tell everything was made fresh to order (they make the Caesar salad right in front of you)

Staff - This is what takes the hotel over the edge. The staff were very friendly and made us feel like family. I almost felt bad checking out, it felt like I was leaving some friends behind

Recommended for - This is definitely a couples resort, it is very peaceful and could be a romantic get away.

Things to do - I would start listing them here but I fear the review would run a bit long. I am 26 and my g/f is 23 so we did stuff like surfing, four wheeling, and fishing. Older couples might enjoy hiking, bird watching, golfing, etc. Give the hotel a call and let them recommend something for you ;)

“Very nice place”

Be prepared to relax or travel for more crowded night life. What I wanted was to relax off the grid and explore nature. That is exactly what I got and when needed I used the free wifi to check in back home. The tours and excursions available in the area can be scheduled by the hotel, but you may be better off contacting them directly.

The wait staff in the restaurant were by far the nicest I have experienced in quite some time. Very affordable experience.

“attention to detail!”

Our recent visit to Hotel Costa Coral was prompted by a Living Social purchase. We were greeted with an experience beyond our expectations and would certainly visit this charming boutique-style hotel again. The attention to detail was impressive including our suite, the restaurant and the grounds. The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly, the food excellent (easily the best we experienced on in our 2 weeks in Costa Rica) and the pool area a definate highlight! Greg, the manager, was beyond helpful and all of our needs were treated with importance. We would return in a heartbeat!!!

“We loved the place! Definitely will return this fall with friends.”

My husband and I visited the Costa Coral for my husbands 39th birthday this past March and were treated like absolute family. For me the pool was the highlight of the stay while my husband enjoyed the four wheeler tour and fishing. While we took this trip alone, the hotel would be perfect for a few couples with or without kids looking for a comfortable and relaxing get away. There seemed to be plenty of outdoor activities for kids and husbands to participate in although I was disappointed that the spa was not completed at the time of our visit.

Room Tip: we just asked for pool side
