We recently returned to Casa del Mar for 9 days. The hotel is still an excellent place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is great. The location is great, very close to its private beach access, restaurants and a mini super. Chairs and loungers are available as are beach towels. The staff arranged for a couple of tours for us and also arrange for our transfers at the beginning and the end of our stay.

We spent in casa del mar 2 nights, the rooms with shared bathroom have ocean view and a small balcony! Bathroom clean and goos breakfast. Rooms with shared bathroom are around 40$ cheaper

I stayed here with my husband at the beginning of the year. We found that the hotel was clean, perfectly located, and had a friendly staff.
The hotel offers a range of room choices for travelers in any budget range. We chose a midrange room with private bath and A/C. Though daytime temperatures rose into the lower 90's, the nights were cool enough that a room without A/C would have been sufficient. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the room was basic, suitable for the limited time you will be spending in the room when traveling to Samara. One downside to the room itself was that it did not contain it's own safe box to store your valuables. The front desk is willing to store valuables in an envelope in their own safe box but they close at 8pm so there is no way to get anything you might want later in the evening.
Some previous travelers have complained that the hotel is not located directly on the beach. However, Casa del Mar provides private beach access directly across the street (maybe 10 m away) and offers beach chairs for lounging. The beach itself is directly next to a lounge-type bar that plays loud music, but its close proximity allows for experiencing the club's atmosphere without the snooty attitude (you can even bring your own beer). If you want to avoid the bar scene completely, it is not difficult to get to other parts of the beach from this centralized location. This hotel is more reasonably priced than some of the other "beachside" hotels, and is steps away from the main street in Samara, giving access to restaurants as well as several supermarkets, in case you want to pick up a few snacks in order to avoid eating every meal out.
The hotel also provides an extensive and delicious breakfast that is prepared and served every morning for hotel guests, from a range of 3-4 choices. The morning breakfast and common beach area provide a community atmosphere that would be perfect for travelers looking to make friends on vacation and especially for travelers going solo.

We stayed here two nights in a quadruple room. The hotel is quite basic, more like a large house with a large courtyard. There are about 8-10 private rooms (i.e. with private baths) and some 8-10 shared rooms. The courtyard has a small cold water jacuzzi and a shower to rinse off the sand from the beach.

The rooms and the courtyard are kept quite clean, which is quite a challenge with the busy beach bound traffic during peak holidays. You can see the staff mopping the floors several times a day.

The breakfast is basic with a few packaged options (continental - ham & cheese, americano- eggs and bacon, tipico - rice and beans with eggs etc.).

They do provide clean beach towels every day and beach chairs. You have cross the street to get access to the beach. The private rooms do not have a beach view.

The hotel is only a block away from the heart of Samara, which is a small beach town. There are plenty of restaurant choices 3-4 blocks away.
