I'm now to my sixth trip out there and I swear it' not the last. This place is simply wonderful and it's situated in this picturesque location which needs to be visited. Very good service with smiling employees, I always feel home when I come to this place. These little villas are truly welcoming and you feel totally in peace with all your ''neighbors'' surrounding . It's the perfect little community with everybody enjoying their vacations. Even if you don't feel like staying into a villa the hotel just added a little room complex also very interesting. The restaurant's food is excellent even though you have little kitchens if you don't feel like going out to eat in public. And you don't even have to go out of the hotel site to make your grocery, the hotel has a mini-market where you can buy all stuff necessary for your needs. You have the best of two worlds, first the hotel is a very relaxing place and if you are adventurous, tons of activities that will bring you in places around you would not believe they exist. This place needs to be discovered and I really recommend this hotel if you want to come to Costa Rica and even if you are moving around the country, this stop will absolutely be worth it. Either it's for a honey moon, a family vacation you will not be disappointed believe me.

I visited Hotel Villas Playa Samara with my husband a few days ago we went on the road to see Costa Rica, stayed in Limon and then Guanacaste got to the see the best of both parts, we stayed in Manzanillo Limon and also Samara Guanacaste. We wanted to comment on the experience we had, it was one of the most beautiful trips we have ever done the scenic was great and we stopped on a couple places to eat and rest and the food was pretty good. We stated in Samara for the weekend and had a blast, took the tour to the island and did a tour with the hotel to a pottery town. Since we were only us two we booked a room not a villa which they said was just built. I posted some pictures so you can see the room, it had everything I need it and by looking around town I have to say this was one of the best rooms in the area. Bathroom was simply amazing , could only be better if it had a bathtub which I recommended to their guest service girl. This place is super quiet and relaxed I convinced my husband to shut down is laptop, cell and Ipad so that we can simply enjoy ourselves the sunsets are amazing and have to say one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve ever seen.

I hope I can come back next year and enjoy my vacations again.

I visit this hotel with my family earlier this month and decided to post my experience. At first when we booked our stay we had doubts due to the latest reviews that I found online, I spoke with the staff of the hotel upon arrival and was assured that everything was resolved and let me tell you it was more than just resolved, (judging from the reviews). The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, being a native Costa Rican I'm used to a level of service and friendliness but they where over the top, super friendly front desk, great activities guy and a very caring guest service manager, I had the opportunity to be welcomed by the hotel manager "Diego" who was extremely polite. Our Villas was perfect, huge pool, great food and one of the most beautiful beach I've ever seen.


With out a doubt this place is a true Fish! would recommend to anyone looking for the authentic Costa Rica heaven!

It is hard to explain why exactly after all this years (5) I keep on dreaming about Playa Samara as my paradise on earth... Probably because I didn't expect to find such a peaceful location, easy going and relaxing as Playa Samara!
I ended up there by chance, traveling by car with my mother and I read on a guide about this place so I decided to check it personally. I was scared, at first by its price but than charmed by the politeness of its owner as he saw us walking away and decided to offer us a special price... we planned to stay for a night and we ended up spending there almost all our holiday because the more we travelled the more we thought Playa Samara was just perfect for us: easy, peaceful, not crowded, unexpected and simply lovely.
I miss that beach and can't wait to be back.
