My rental car broke down near the Hideaway hotel. I walked there for help and the owners and staff went out of their way to help. They offered to give me a ride back to my car, safely stow my luggage and let me stay at the hotel while waiting for service. While waiting, i had an incredibly good cheeseburger and fries and chatted with guests poolside. Guests loved the hotel and restaurant - nothing better than drinking Mango Margaritas next to the pool while watching howler monkeys in the trees. The next time i stay in Samara i will stay at the Hideaway!

My family of 3 children, my husband and I recently spent a week at the Hideaway Hotel. We had a wonderful time. The entire staff was kind, attentive and fun. The kitchen staff went of their way to make meals off the menu for my picky nine year old son. (Thanks, Doug).
Rosie and Doug gave us great recommendations for activities and dining that were perfectly suited to our family.
We look forward to returning to the Hideway Hotel.

We had a wonderful time in the Samara area and are so glad we stayed at the Hideaway! We were there for 4 nights and planned on having a small, intimate wedding ceremony on Playa Carrillo on our 3rd day. Doug and Rosy were more than helpful while we tried to finalize our last minute wedding arrangements. They went above and beyond our expectations and even offered to be our witnesses at the ceremony! They made sure our day was very special and even brought us a bottle of champagne to the wedding and prepared a special dinner/table arrangement for us afterward. We couldn't have asked for better, friendlier service. The entire staff was very helpful and willing to take care of anything we needed.
The property itself was very beautiful and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities of a luxury hotel. It was just down the road from the wonderful Samara beach and the village of Samara was about a 25 min walk down the beach. My favorite aspect of the hotel grounds were the Howler monkeys that lived in the mango trees around the property. From our balcony we had spectacular views of the monkeys as well as from the pool and dining area. It was really exciting to be so close to them! (even if they did wake us up early in the morning with their howling :))
We would definitely recommend staying at the Hideaway and can't wait to go back there ourselves! Thank you, Doug and Rosy, for helping us have the perfect beach wedding we wanted!!

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at the Hideaway for a New Years vacation. Doug and Rosa are the most gracious of hosts, they go out of there way to make sure your stay is the best. From breakfast to dinner the food at the Hideaway is to savor. My husband and I are all ready counting the days till our return.
