We chose this resort because it was only a 1/2 hour from the airport and we wanted to spend the night before we traveled else where. It has an amazing view. That and the proximity to the airport are the only reasons to go.
Don't get stuck there without a car - you aren't walking distance to anything except the beach. and I have heard cab rides are expensive. (Not that I thought there was any reason to go into the town, unless loud crappy sports bars and bad food are your thing.)
I would not call it a resort. It may have once been, but no more. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't nice. The room was poorly lit, the bed was uncomfortable and the room had ants. The bathroom window was boarded with a plank. I don't understand why you would put feather quilts on beds in a tropical climate, so you have to run the ac all night.
There was coffee in the room and one of the pools was clean enough to brave - it has a fantastic sunset view. The people were nice and the breakfast acceptable. I would put it's value at $70 instead of $130 and give it 2.5 stars.
