Casa Vista Azul's location is paradoxical; it´s definitely the best feature of the hotel and also the worst one. The views from rooms, pool and pretty much from anywhere of the hotel are spectacular! There is no disturbance or noise whatsoever - it´s like having your own hillside apartment. But let´s face it: The "walking distance to Coco beach" is approximately 4km and very steep uphill towards the hotel. Cabs are easy to get, but the cost is ~5USD oneway.

The rooms are clean with A/C and cable, the staff is very nice and friendly - All and all very nice place to stay.

I stayed in their apartment from January- April 2010. Originally I had planned on renting a condo in town long-term but after getting to know Lee (manager) and Bonnie (owner) and their staff I couldn't leave. The ocean view and sunsets are spectacular. The noise and traffic of town are lost in the distance. Watching New Year's beach fireworks on the balcony with my daughter, Bonnie and Lee will never be forgotten. I recommend a car to get to town as well as visiting the nearby beaches and attractions. Lee is very knowledgeable of the town's services, restaurants and area's attractions and happy to book any for you. The apartment is perfect for a couple and always kept clean as was the refreshing pool and area around hotel.. Casa Vista Azul is a magic place for me and I will be returning.

The hotel itself has great views from every room. The rooms are small unless you get an apartment. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Anything we wanted all we needed to do was ask. The only downside is that if you wanted to go anywhere you had to call for a cab which gets to be a little expensive after awhile. $4-6 one way to the town. Plenty to do in the town and the staff can set up any tour or activity that is available in the region.

I would stay here again.

We visited Playas del Coco in February for a wedding. We were fortunate to book our stay at Casa Vista Azul. The accomodations were very clean and the view was totally awesome. The villa manager, Leigh, was wonderful. Leigh prepared our breakfast every morning. Leigh gave us great advise on where to go and what to see. She even arranged for some of our guides and drivers. We would highly reccomend Casa Vista Azul for a clean, comfortable room.
