This boutique hotel is spectacular. After 7 nights touring around Costa Rica, we needed a hotel for one night before we flew out of Liberia, and since Coco/Hermosa are only 30 minutes away, we figured we would look there. We had no reservations, just wanted to find something when we arrived. After checking out the beach are of Coco, I saw a road heading up the mountain, and figured we would give it a drive, as the views from up there must be amazing. Low and behold, we found this beautiful little hotel sticking out of the side of the mountain. I walked up, and was greeted by the owner Bonnie, and with great hospitality, she had us in a room. The hotel is a small, 3 story building, where each room is on the shared patio area, with access via a large sliding door. The view is phenomenal, and the only thing that topped it was the service.
After setting us up with a room, Bonnie then gave my wife and I each a drink after our long day of driving, which we enjoyed on the patio. We then met Coley, the manager, who chatted with us for a while, made some great recommendations for the afternoon. She does the cooking in the morning, and when we told her that due to our flight, we would be gone before breakfast was served, she insisted on coming in early to make us breakfast, and showed up at 6am. The omelette on the patio with sunrise was an amazing way to finish our trip.
We didn't get a chance to use the infinity plunge pool, but we did sit up on the rooftop patio area and watched the sunset. I highly recommend this hotel, in fact this little jewel of a hotel was the surprising highlight of our trip.
