We choose this hotel because we can make a bus reservation for our trip to Rivas in Nicaragua, and that was the only good thing and for this we stayed one night.
The hotel is really the worst I ever seen in my life: the rooms are horrible, dirty, small, with awful and overused beds. The toilet is something not safe to enter and use.
Finally it is extremely overpriced, for 15 dollars I could accept to stay a night, but for more than 50 is really crazy.
I'm sorry for my English but I hope you have received the message correctly: avoid this hotel!

Not quite what I'd expect from a nicer hotel, but better than what I expected from a hostel. Property was well kept and pretty, staff was available and friendly, rooms were small but clean. Large indoor and outdoor common areas with seating, Foosball, and even a projector near the restaurant. Clotheslines and camping area available if desired. No hot water when we were there, but great price for the location. Our room for two with AC and a TV was $35. Across the street from American food, down the road from the Airport, this was a perfect no-frills last stop on our way out of Costa Rica. If you're looking for a Hilton, go down the street and pay for the Hilton. If you're looking for a cheap local place to stay for the night, this is all you need.

The prices are redicolus high for this small simple room. The beds had dirty sheets that somenone had used already ...

If the room had cost 10 usd I havent said anything about it, but 55 is so overpriced for this standard.

And on top of that the staff in the reception had no feeling for service what so ever...

I drove my girlfriend to Liberia to catch an early flight home. I booked her a room at the Guanacaste Hotel because it was conveniently located. She had a single room. You could spread your arms and touch both walls. She did not feel safe staying there alone. In reality, she WAS safe, but the point is, she didn't FEEL safe. She was not happy that I left her there. Fairly warned be thee, says I, boys.
(Would be a great spot to break up though)
