Needed a place to stay till the plane left in the morning.Found this place for $25 for two.Receptionist couldnt speak english but why would she..we are in her country. She was very helpful.Looked at the room. OK this is a basic place.I plain bed. sheets were clean with a good new moving fan.Bathroom was clean with no hot water.there were a few ants and bugs along the room edges. Too be expected at a place like this in C.America. i sprayed the bed posts with OFF to make sure the insects that escaped my boots wouldnt get to us.They had Wi-Fi.Cheap beers. Food which we didnt get. Karaoke was going on and every Tico,Tica was enjoying themselves. You can walk into town and to any bus easily from here.

Unfortunately, I didn't check the reviews before booking here. The bad reviews are all justified, it is a dump. It is none too clean, the staff is quite unfriendly, I asked for a quiet room, it sounds as though I am in the street, when I asked to be moved somewhere else, I was told this was the room farthest from the Karaoke, which is going on until midnight, tonight being Friday. The sheets are clean but smell moldy. Outside my room, there is a sort of canal to collect water, and it smells bad, stagnant water. I had a "fresco" this afternoon that was not up to Costa Rican standards at all, but tonight the salad with hearts of palm was ok. And they have a nice cat who is sleeping on my bed at the moment, a little sunshine in this pretty terrible place.

Came here after staying in a couple of great hostels in Costa Rica and this place was really dissapointing. My spanish isn't great and the receptionist looked at me like I was from another planet and treated me like I was handicapped. The room was over $16 and not what they advertised. It was hot, the bathroom was awful and a gunshot woke me up at 5am. Got out of there as soon as possible.

The stay was miserable. I almost left the first night because the room they gave me had jumbo roaches coming out of the drains and crawling all over the bedroom. I just don't handle that well. I had them switch me to another building but it was really noisy and the shower only dripped water. There wasn't a lot of other guests to socialize with. Restaurant was ok.
