This resort must have 6 service people for every guest. It is the best service I have experienced. Special thanx to my new friend - Javier; who made sure everything was perfect.
I am perplexed at some of the comments. This resort is top-notch in every respect. The main restaurant would be packed if it were in New York City and the restaurant at the Hot Springs was very good. Yes, it is not cheap, but deduct from the room the free Hot Springs and this puts it in better perspective.

We stayed here for two nights in February. The hot springs gardens and spa are a truly amazing place. Nothing like it that I've ever been to. We had a blast spending two full days here. What we didn't understand before we came is that the hotel and hot springs are separated by about a 1/4 mile walk and across the main road. A shuttle is always available and they have made the walk into a lovely garden path. That said, the hot springs were amazing. However, the hotel property is nice, but nothing special. Food is incredibly expensive. $16 for a continental breakfast or a $28 buffet were our only two options. They were, however, able to provide me with an omelet for $8 when I requested it. Also, we were disappointed with the lack of volcano views. There are many other properties with amazing views. Overall, if you can get a room for around $200, it would be worth it because the day rate for the hot springs area is $60-ish. The next time we go, we are apt to stay at another property (The Royal Corin or The Springs Resort & Spa) and spend a full day at the Tabacon hot springs only.

Been very happy here. 1. Floor rooms might give a better view. Hotel has fair room prices however food and beverages are highly priced. Good atmosphere. Service and kindness of the staff mostly great. Hot springs are in 5 min reach or shuttle provided. Hotel pool is big and has the same thermal water as the springs. Pool area is mostly calm and empty.

The only thing this place has going for it is the hot springs and spa. The rooms are dated, food is terrible at both restaurants, service is ok. I feel like I've been nickled and dimed the whole time here. And I'm a New Yorker who's use to paying a premium. But this place is ridiculous. Next time, I'll just get a day pass to the spa and springs rather than stay on this "resort".
